We have been amazed at the skills our three children have learned while attending Yu's Academy! They have been studying Tae kwon do for about a year and a half. Not only have they learned how to defend themselves, but have also had respect, discipline, perseverance, and courtesy drilled into their program. Enrolling our kids in Yu's Academy was one of the best decisions we have ever made. The principles that are taught to the students are those that we wish all kids possessed. As a mom, I always try to see the best in my child. I know her strengths as well as her weaknesses. I want her to see how smart and creative she is. I want her to know that with hard work she can accomplish great things. Tess has always had a hard time showing people outside our house these traits. Tess is 13 years old. She started taking Hapkido in November of 2010, when one of her friends invited her to a testing day. Tess wanted to take classes immediately.
